Both concerts mark a strong autumn season for one of the most talked-about young chamber music duos in Germany and Europe right now.Cellist Anouchka Hack (born 1996 in Antwerp) and pianist Katharina Hack (born 1994 in Cologne) have been performing together for over a decade on some of Europe's most prestigious stages. Their debut album ‚Shostakovich', released in 2020 on GENUIN classics with cellist Gautier Capuçon, was nominated for both the Opus Klassik and the German Record Critics' Award. Their second album, ‚Alle Menschen werden Schwestern', followed in autumn 2024 on Berlin Classics in co-production with Deutschlandfunk and has now reached 1 million streams. A third album with Berlin Classics and WDR is currently in production. Anouchka Hack is the winner of the Prix Jean-Nicolas Firmenich at the Verbier Festival 2021, the Leyda Ungerer Music Prize 2022, the Special Prize of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben at the German Music Competition 2023, and the Beethoven Ring 2025. Katharina Hack won the Steinway Förderpreis in Frankfurt. The duo has performed at the Berlin Philharmonic Lunch Concerts, the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Fondation Louis Vuitton Paris and the Konzerthaus Dortmund, and toured the USA, Taiwan and South Korea.
