Powerful, powerful, beautiful, dramatic, touching and breathtaking - this is the best way to describe Hans Zimmer's music. The multi-award-winning composer Hans Zimmer has also put together a new ‘The World of Hans Zimmer - A New Dimension’ programme from his broad musical repertoire for 2024. In autumn and winter 2024, a total of eight concerts will take place in Germany and several more throughout Europe. Once again, Hans Zimmer will not be on stage himself, but will act as curator. His long-time friend David Greenway will take over the direction and conduct the orchestra. The audience will be taken on a unique musical journey and immersed in completely new worlds of sound.

Despite a lack of musical training, Hans Zimmer is one of Hollywood's most important film music components. In the 1970s, the Frankfurt-born composer initially produced advertising music jingles and video clips before devoting himself entirely to film music. In his career to date, the musician, who lives in Los Angeles, has already composed over 140 soundtracks for films. His first Oscar nomination came in 1989 for "Rain Man", and six years later Hans Zimmer received the award for the film music for "The Lion King". In 2010, the composer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2022 Hans Zimmer was awarded the Golden Globe for the soundtrack to "Dune". The film music of "Inception", "Mission Impossible", "Gladiator", "Johnny English", "Batman Begins" "The Da Vinci Code" or "Pirates Of The Carribean", among others, also count among Hans Zimmer's works. In 2022 Hans Zimmer was again awarded an Oscar for his film music for the science fiction epic "Dune".
