In 2013, Sam Fender was discovered by Owain Davis at a gig in the pub where he was working at the time. Together with the manager, who also looks after singer Ben Howard, among others, Sam Fender produced his first single ‘Play God’ in 2017. Record companies and major media houses took notice of the Englishman, after which Sam Fender initially performed as the opening act for Hozier, Catfish And The Bottlemen and Jake Bugg. In 2018, the singer-songwriter released his first EP ‘Dead Boys’. With ‘The Sound’, Sam Fender landed his first small indie hit, for which the BBC nominated him for the ‘Sound of 2018’ award alongside greats such as Billie Eilish, Khalid and Sigrid. In 2019, the singer won the BRIT Award. In the same year, Sam Fender released his debut album ‘Hypersonic Missiles’, which immediately shot to number 1 in the British charts and was followed by an extensive headlining tour through Europe and the UK. In October 2021, Sam Fender released his second album ‘Seventeen Going Under’.
